Located in the historic John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center at Loch Haven Park-between the Orlando Science Center and the Orlando Museum of Art- the Orlando Shakespeare Theater attracts thousands of theatergoers regionally and nationally each year with a diverse number of events for the whole family.
Orlando Shakespeare Theater's redesigned website www.OrlandoShakes.org complements its community appeal by featuring extensive content on all aspects of the organization, including plays and events, advanced ticket purchasing, location rentals and an impressive array of educational resources and classes.
While Orlando is best known for its world-famous theme parks and tourist attractions, the Central Florida community continues to grow its enthusiasm for the arts just in time for Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's 2010-2011 lineup which includes the Darden Signature Series events "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Pride and Prejudice," as well as special events such as "PlayFest! The Harriett Lake Festival of New Plays" and Cross Dress'd Shakespeare, along with many other theatrical productions.
"Orlando Shakespeare Theater's website now has a look and feel that is as professional and innovative as what you find on our stages," says Melissa Mason, Director of Marketing at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. "Our growing reputation has brought us recognition within the Orlando community and the local, national and international press. With all this progress, we thought it was time to update our online look to better reflect the reality of who we are today."
The new Orlando Shakespeare Theater website was designed by the creative team at Dream Factory Productions, an advertising, marketing and PR agency located at Universal Studios' Production Facilities in Orlando-one of the Central Florida's most creative locations.
"Working on the redesign of www.OrlandoShakes.org was extremely fun, given the depth of content and functionality that it offers to both the staff and their audiences," says Paulo Cigagna, CEO of Dream Factory Productions. "We worked closely with Orlando Shakespeare Theater's marketing staff to understand their needs and integrate real-world web solutions to facilitate their growth and expansion."
It should be noted that the new website showcases educational and volunteering activities that are also funded by donations from fans and supporters of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, thus extending the cultural appeal to activities that engage the Central Florida community and motivates their involvement and support of performing arts.
Orlando Shakespeare Theater's website is complemented by Social Media initiatives such as a Blog, Facebook and Twitter, where fans can follow new developments and official announcements.
