Orlando Ballet Performs Diverse Shows At The Winter Garden

Garden Theatre presents Orlando Ballet's Sleeping Beauty on November 12-13, 2011 and Best of Battle January 27-29, 2012 as part of the Garden Theatre's 2011-12 Live Season.

A ballet abbreviated to one hour, Sleeping Beauty is the perfect introduction to the world of dance for all ages. Performances will be preceded by a Royal Celebration for kids of all ages an hour prior to the show. Families are invited to enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, and a meet and greet with costumed dancers and performers. Doors open at 2pm, performances at 3pm.

The Best of Battle

, a fierce production of the best excerpts from the Battle of the Sexes series, has been described by the Orlando Sentinel as a fusion of "dynamic attack and silk smooth sensuality." This adult-geared compilation is choreographed by world-renowned artistic director Robert Hill, a former principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and will premiere at the Garden Theatre in January.

ABOUT ORLANDO BALLET
Orlando Ballet is Central Florida's only fully residential professional ballet company and performs its annual season at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre under the direction of Robert Hill. The Company includes not only dancers from the United States, but also Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Romania and the Ukraine.
