2010 Arts Teacher of the Year Winner To Be Announced on April 24

Along with a Series of Arts Inspired Events at Barnes & Noble

Thursday, April 22, 2010 - Saturday, April 24  

The Cultural Foundation of Broward County will host a series of arts inspired events at Barnes & Noble, 2051 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, from Thursday, April 22 through Saturday, April 24, 2010, culminating with the announcement of the Broward County 2010 Arts Teacher of the Year Winner, on Saturday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m.  

In order to raise awareness for Arts Education, the community is urged to participate in this weekend-long arts and education festivity. Proceeds generated through the Book Fair Code # 10189430 at the sales register and through online sales will help the Cultural Foundation of Broward support arts education. 

On Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 24, 2010, 11a.m.-1:00 p.m., a Teaching Artists Showcase will feature artists displaying their creativity. On Saturday, April 24, there will also be a Pop-Up Art Gallery from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. featuring Broward artists-Lori Pratico, LeeAnna Yater, Jeremiah Jenner, Patricia Calamari, Louis Davis, Nzingah, David Aaron Mack, eight Arts for the Future Scholarship winners, and ArtServe.

The fundraising element of this celebration will be available on location and online at www.barnesandnoble.com.  On Location from April 22 -24, 2010 at Barnes & Noble, 2051 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale and online from April 22 - April 29, 2010.
