MusicWorks To Present 15 Classic Folk & Rock Concerts At Old School Square In Delray Beach  Image

MusicWorks today announced that it would be presenting 15 classic folk and rock concerts October through April at Old School Square, located at 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. Ten of the concerts will be presented in the venue's Crest Theatre, while five will be held in Old School Square's outdoor Pavilion.

In this MusicWorks concert series, nine of them will feature some of the top names from the classic folk and rock tradition, while six concert are Classic Albums Live, which takes historic rock albums and recreates them live, on stage, note for note, cut for cut.

Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon

Over the course of decades Pink Floyd's 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon has become legendary for its 937 weeks on the Billboard 200, for its iconic cover art and because it was a career defining artistic achievement that marked Pink Floyd's transition from an experimental jam oriented progressive group to a top echelon rock band.

Fleetwood Mac: Rumors

An enduring classic released over 40 years ago that continues to invite listeners to gravitate back to its soothing sound and enduring lyrics. Rolling Stone magazine claims Rumours is "the sound of five rock stars trying to plant their feet in the middle of a landslide."

Early Elton

Early Elton is a tribute to the Elton John, Dee Murray, and Nigel Olsson trio tours of 1970-1972 featuring Jeff Kazee of Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes (piano, vocals), Rich Pagano of The Fab Faux (drums, vocals) and John Conte of Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes (bass, vocals). The Gospel/Funk of Take Me to the Pilot, the soulful storytelling of Levon, and Amoreena, the epic-sounding Burn Down the Mission, the countrified Country Comfort, and the grand scale of Madman Across the Water are just a few of the fantastic chapters that make up the Early Elton songbook.

Most revered as the second half of the Grammy-nominated due England Dan and John Ford Coley, this spectacular entertainer continues with an active roster performing the platinum and gold record hits for audiences around the world.

Martin Sexton

Martin Sexton is happily and fiercely independent and has infiltrated many musicals worlds. He has performed at concerts ranging from pop (collaborating with John Mayer), to the jam scene, to classic rock (collaborating with Peter Frampton); from the Newport Folk Fest, to Bonnaroo, to New Orleans Jazz Fest, to a performance at Carnegie Hall. John Mayer calls him, "The best live performer I've ever seen. I may just quit my job and go follow Martin and make a fuss everywhere I go, just to make sure that people don't go their lives without hearing this man sing to them."

Karla Bonoff & Jonathan Edwards

The legacy of Karla Bonoff as a writer and her perseverance as a performer are spoken best in a Billboard Magazine review of her All My Life recording: "Long before Alanis and Jewel, there was a breed of singer/songwriter whose earthly anthems of soul-searching, heartache and joy touched souls in a way few can muster today."

A Jonathan Edwards concert is warm as summer sunshine, real as truth, intimate as a long overdue visit between friends. Four decades into a stellar career of uncompromising musical integrity, the man simply delivers, night after night, songs of passion, songs of insight, songs of humor, all rendered in that pure and powerful tenor which like fine wine has only grown sweeter with age.

Hotel California was the fifth album by The Eagles and was released over 40 years ago. The album is memorable for many reasons, including the addition of Joe Walsh to the band which marked a major shift from their earlier work toward mainstream rock. Also, on this album is the emergence of Don Henley as the band's dominant voice.

Broken Arrow - The Music of Neil Young

From the rockin' electric Crazy Horse Tunes to the more acoustic, pedal steel driven, country rock hits, Broken Arrow faithfully delivers classic Neil Young songs as they take them out on some jamming excursions, tastefully tweaking some of the arrangements. Joe Mass nails the Neil Young vocals perfect and the harmonies are spot on.

Stephen Bishop

Steven Bishop is a songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist whose hits include On and On, Save it for a Rainy Day, Separate Lives, the theme from Tootsie (It Might be You), and more. He has released 127 albums, with two being gold certified. His songs have been recorded by Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Barbara Streisand, Art Garfunkel, Steve Perry, and Kenny Loggins. Stephen Bishop has two Grammy nominations and awarded an Oscar nomination for his song Separate Lives.

Joan Osborne

Joan Osborne has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the great voices of her generation -- both a commanding, passionate performer and a frank, emotionally evocative songwriter. A multi-platinum selling recording artist and seven time Grammy nominee, the soulful vocalist is a highly sought after collaborator who has performed alongside Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Luciano Pavarotti, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, and Mavis Staples to name a few. She showcased her far ranging talent during three residencies in 2016 at the Cotton Club in Tokyo, japan; the Blue Note in Honolulu, Hawaii; and the Cafe Carlyle in New York City. Seals & Crofts 2

Experience the music of 70s rock duo Seals & Crofts in a whole new way. Hear the hits Summer Breeze, Diamond Girl, and We May Never Pass This Way Again, artfully reimagined with a reverent nod to the past. Seals & Crofts 2 is Brady Seals (cousin of Jim Seals) and Lua Crofts (daughter of Dash Crofts). The evening will feature many popular Seals &Crofts classics as well as new songs from Seals & Crofts 2.

John Waite

John Waite was a fixture of album-oriented rock radio stations during the 70's and 80's while the lead singer with The Baby's, Bad English, and as a solo artist. Best known for his talent for power ballads and driving arena rock, he occasionally touched on new wave-styled pop as well. His catalog hits features some of the most loved songs of the 80's and 90's - the #1 Worldwide hit Missing You, The Baby's Isn't It Time and Bad English's When I See You Smile rank amongst some of his biggest international hits. Others include Tears, Change, and These Times Are Hard For Lovers. John Waite will be performing his catalogue of hits.

With "Top 10" hits like Darlin' Be Home Soon, Do You Believe in Magic, Sumer in the City, Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind, Daydream, Nashville Cats and Welcome Back Kotter, plus more than two dozen albums and countless live performances around the world, Sebastian - who was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 - has become a permanent part of the fabric of American music.
