Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden welcomed more than 400 members and supporters last week to a sneak peek preview of a major new, family-friendly attraction, GARDEN OF LIGHTS: A Winter Holiday Event at Mounts.
Now on display nightly through December 30, Mounts Botanical Garden is all a-twinkle with thousands of holiday lights hanging from the trees, illuminating the walkways and landmark structures, with colorful LED trees and glowing light-balls, all along an easy-to-follow route throughout 15 different garden areas - the perfect way to light-up the holidays for joyous visitors of every age, romantic disposition, and spiritual leanings.
Families of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the professionally-installed and strategically placed broad collection of holiday themed lights and scenes. Palms and other trees are wrapped with lights, dripping icicle luminaries from branches, glowing snowflakes on fences, decorated Christmas trees, a field of giant luminescent spheres, butterflies, arches, scenes of holiday trains, elves and bulging stockings, stirring candle lit Menorahs, and more.
In addition, Mounts is presenting live dance performances and musical presentations from local schools and academies during GARDEN OF LIGHTS: A Winter Holiday Event. The 30-to-45 minute performances will be held at 6:30 pm on the Great Lawn at Mounts: Highland Elementary School band, chorus and hand bells (Friday, November 30); Lake Park Baptist School handbells (Saturday, December 8); Ballet East (Friday, December 14); and Dance Arts Conservatory Ballet (Friday, December 21).
GARDEN OF LIGHTS is presented by FPL and sponsored by Randell and Rebecca Doane, the Garden Club of Palm Beach, TD Bank, Florida Farm Bureau Palm Beach County, Lewis Longman Walker, Michele Gurto CPA, Holyfield & Thomas LLC, and VOXX International.
