Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark Sets 2015-16 Theatre Series

Valerie Norman Gammon, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Miramar, today announced the 2015-2016 theatrical schedule for the Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark, a state-of-the-art, 800-seat theatre within the popular, multipurpose cultural facility.

"Get ready for a fantastic season," says Ms. Gammon. "We've scheduled shows and concerts that will most certainly appeal to our growing and diverse community."

The Cultural Center is offering 16 different concerts, children's shows, dance events and theatrical productions from October 2015 through April 2016, including:

October 10 at 2 pm (Saturday)

BELLA & HARRY

(Kids Culture)

Come along as Belle and Harry embark on an educational and fun-filled journey to London. Based on the educational series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, these two jet-set pets help foster education and appreciation of the world.

October 17 at 2 pm & 8 pm (Saturday)

BALLET HISPANICO

(Signature Series)

Through the fresh, relevant works of the Ballet Hispanic repertory, Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro explores the Latino voice in dance with choreography from contemporary masters and emerging stars.

MYSTIC INDIA

(Signature Series)

This stunning musical extravaganza appeals to all ages with incredible acts by Bollywood dancers, acrobats and more.

HIP HOP SUMMIT

Peformance by Svet

America's Got Talent finalist Svet, the electro hip-hop violinist, who has performed with celebrities including Jamie Foxx, Kanye West and Gym Class heroes. Svet introduces a captivating new sound to mainstream, fusing classical training with Hip Hop, House and even Reggae.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Performance by Smokie Norful

Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Smokie Norful, best known for his 2002 album I Need You Now and his 2004 release Nothing Without You, joined by local children's and adult choirs, celebrates the holiday season.
