Stage and film legend Michael York stars as King Arthur, in a magnificent new production of Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT June 12 – 24 at Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Glenn Casale directa this daring re-staging of the original script, adapted with an edgy new concept by Michael Lerner, and co-produced by Liza Lerner, Alan Jay Lerner's son and daughter respectively. Rachel York and James Barbour join Michael York as the stars of this brand new touring production.

Performance times are Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, and matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm with additional performances Sunday, June 17 th at 7:30pm Wednesday, June 20 th at 2pm. Tickets range from $21.00 - $65.00 not including applicable handling or service charges. Michael York, who famously portrayed Cliff is Bob Fosse's Oscar winning film "Cabaret," D'Artagnan in 'The Three Musketeers," and was a featured star in all three of the wildly successful 'Austin Powers" movies, is heading the cast as King Arthur. His Broadway credits include SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME, the musical of THE LITTLE PRINCE, BENT, THE CRUCIBLE, and the world premiere of Tennessee Williams' OUTCRY. CAMELOT will mark York's North American touring debut.

The glamorous and beautiful Rachel York, seen in Broadway's DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, VICTOR/VICTORIA, and on tour in KISS ME KATE, is torn between two lovers as Guenevere. James Barbour, the dashing leading man of Broadway's ASSASSINS, JANE EYRE, URINETOWN, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST completes the memorable love-triangle as Lancelot. 

With a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, the splendid, memorable score includes the romantic and haunting "If Ever I Would Leave You," the captivating "How to Handle a Woman" and the majestic "Camelot." The tour opened on January 30th, 2007 in San Jose, CA and continues through the 2007- 2008 season.  The Fort Lauderdale engagement of Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT is presented in arrangement with Florida Theatrical Association, a non-profit civic organization with a volunteer board of trustees established to ensure the continued presentation of quality national touring Broadway productions in the state of Florida and is a season ticket offering of Stanford Broadway Across America – Fort Lauderdale.
