Miami Beach International Fashion Week Reveals Its Schedule of Events for 2011

Over 50 designers from around the world will grace the stage at this year's Miami Beach International Fashion Week.

Sobol- Perry Fashion Productions, Inc is pleased to reveal the schedule of events for the 2011 Miami Beach International Fashion Week. Taking place in South Beach from March 3- 6, Miami Beach International Fashion Week is the largest Latin American and international fashion event in the world. During the past 12 years, Miami Beach International Fashion Week has evolved into one of the world's premier fashion events spotlighting designers from Europe, USA and Canada, the Caribbean, Middle East and Asia as well as the largest showcase of Latin American design talent in the United States. This prominent fashion event will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center- Hall A.

Miami Beach International Fashion Week opens with a press conference starting at 6 pm with designers showcasing for that evening. In addition, the winners from 4th annual Student Fashion Designer Competition will be announced. Following the press conference is the Lingerie/ Swimwear showcase which will feature MaddSexy Lingerie, Zella Machado Swimwear and KANOMI Swimwear- to name a few. At 9pm the Miami Style Showcase will kick off the Opening Prelude with emerging designers such as Somy Ali of So-Me Designs of the No More Tears organization, Erin Healy, GooRoo Baby, Zula Khramov and Art of Shade. Following this are Miami's top designers including Julian Chang, Nicolas Felizola, Samy Gitcherman and Petit Pois by Viviana G.

Starting at 7pm on Friday, March 4, the Jamaica Showcase will launch with designs by POSHE by Camesha Powell, Julian by Juliette Dyke and the Jamaican Collective. Also featured in the Jamaica Showcase are two finalists from Jamaica's Mission Catwalk Designers Challenge, Shenna Carby and Ayanna Dixon. Following the Jamaica Showcase is the Men's showcase featuring designs by Mauricio Alberino and Robert Flores. Concluding the night is the International Eveningwear Showcase featuring designers such as Rocky Gathercole from Dubai and Patuna Bushyhead from the Republic of Georgia to name just a few.

On March 5 the Prêt- A- Porter Style Showcase will feature designs by Bata Spasojevic winner of the 2010 Miami Beach International Fashion Week designer competition at Banja Luka Fashion Fair in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following the showcase will be the Copa Airlines Showcase, which will begin at 8:30pm. The Copa Airlines Showcase will feature designers from Latin America such as Claudia Bertolero, Federico Visuetti, and Giovanni Scutaro. The final show of the night will conclude with the Latin Fashion Councils showcase with designers from Ecuador, Colombia and Argentina.

Closing night of Miami Beach International Fashion Week takes place Sunday, March 6 and begins at 6pm with a private press conference with a special guest designer, to be announced in days to come. Later in the evening, television and radio host Brian Andrews and Ileana Garcia will be taking the stage and hosting the Miami Moda & Music Awards show. The event will conclude with a live performance from an international recording artist.
