Manatee Players Presents Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS

The holiday musical Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS opens at the Manatee Players on December 1 and plays through December 23. Performances are Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 including facility fee for adults and $11 including facility fee for students. Tickets may be reserved by calling 748-5875 Monday - Friday from 9-5 and one hour before curtain on performance days or on the Manatee Players' website: www.manateeplayers.com. All performances are at 102 Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including ‘Blue Skies', ‘I Love A Piano', ‘How Deep Is the Ocean' and the perennial favorite, ‘White Christmas'. The weather report at the Manatee Players guarantees ‘snow' nightly!

The roles of ‘Bob Wallace' and ‘Phil Davis' are being played by Greg Wiegers and Michael DeMocko with the roles of ‘Betty Haynes' and ‘Judy Haynes' being played by Jessica Anne Morrow and Geena Ravella. Philip Croome plays ‘General Waverly', Brittney Klepper plays ‘Martha Watson' and newcomer Haley Rosenthal plays ‘Susan Waverly. Other members of the talented cast include John Andruzzi, MitcheAl Pearl, Elora Czaia, Corinne Woodland, Daniele Quinn-Grutzner, Katie Zanders, Becki Mallett, Beth McKinzie, Brian Strubbe, Brandon Jamora, Bryan Boytek, Juan Martinez, Joseph Rebella, Samantha Grutzner, Victoria Najmy, Jean Boothby, Teri Duncan, David Taylor, Lindsey Nickel-de la O, Tim Parker and JillIan Smith.

The show is being directed and choreographed by Rick Kerby with Bobby Brader as musical director.
