Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Gala Set To Honor Amazing Women At The Breakers Palm Beach ImagePlans are underway to make the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's annual gala Nothing Like A Dame the most spectacular fundraising event yet!

Inspired by the upcoming musical South Pacific and the generosity of the Theatre's loyal supporters through the years, the luxurious affair will take place on Saturday, February 24, at The Breakers Palm Beach. Led by Grande Dame Connie M. Frankino and Honorary Chair Kim Tiano, the evening will honor 11 irreplaceable "Honorary Dames" that have been instrumental in the Theatre's success: Sharon Domino, Debra A. Elmore, Vickie Farber, Sandra Goldner, Priscilla Heublein, Sallie Korman, Diane Perrella, Bebe Riccardo, Kathy Savarese, Robin B. Smith and in loving memory of Cornelia T. Bailey.

"Our largest fundraiser of the year will exemplify the Theatre's mission of entertaining, educating and inspiring our community," said Suellen Mann, the Theatre's director of development. "Nothing Like A Dame is a terrific reason to get dressed up and enjoy an extraordinary evening for a wonderful cause: the largest regional theater in Florida, which wouldn't be here without its generous supporters."

Considered to be one of South Florida's most elegant "must attend" annual events, the Theatre's development team has spent the past year working with the design and lighting studios at The Breakers creating the perfect vision for the ball. Guests will encounter a historic ballroom aglow in candlelight with a lavish palette of gold, purple, orange and hot pink, complete with dramatic colorful, jewel-toned floral centerpieces to set the stage for a sumptuous three-course dinner.

Spectacular entertainment will include an exclusive performance by two-time Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, as well as an 80-student children's choir made up of students from the Theatre's Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts and youth performers from the Theatre's Professional Training Program. An orchestra will bring all the drama and beauty of live theatre into the evening, and a special tribute to marvelous women will enchant and delight all who attend.

"The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has been very fortunate to have so many incredible female supporters through the years, and we thought it only fitting to honor them in the best way possible: through an exquisite celebration," said Andrew Kato, the Theatre's producing artistic director and chief executive. "Nothing Like a Dame is about the incomparable support we've received from all in the community that continue to believe in our not-for-profit theatre."

The gala will raise funds for the Theatre's award-winning productions to help keep its performances affordable for all, as well as inspiring the next generation of young audiences through the Theatre's community outreach programs. It will also help support local families by providing scholarships for children to attend classes and camps at the Theatre's Conservatory.

Sponsors include Underwriting Producers PNC Bank and Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth; Grand Benefactors Phebe Bauer, Peggy and Rick Katz, Roberta and Harvey Golub, Jane F. Napier, Diane and James E.
