Main Street Players present Becky's New Car by playwright Steven Dietz.
Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster has a middling job with a boss who doesn't appreciate her, a marriage missing its spark, and an adult son living in the basement. When one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works, she is offered nothing short of a new life. In a way that most plays wouldn't dare, Becky's New Car offers audiences the chance to ride shotgun with Becky on her exhilarating ride down the road not taken.
The talented cast includes Francine Silver Birns as Becky, Ron Torres as her husband Joe and Harry Marsh as Walter Flood, the wealthy and daft widower. Rounding out the cast are Jason Lyzniak as Becky's son Chris, Ileana Hernandez as Walter's daughter Kensington, Brian McCormack as Becky's friend and co-worker Steve and Lucy Nuñez as Walter's good friend Ginger, who is going through her own mid-life crisis. The show is being directed by Robert Coppel, Main Street Players' Artistic Director with Clara Lyzniak as assistant director.
The shows are Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, there will not be a performance on Friday, August 1st but one additional show will be presented on Sunday, August 3rd at 7:00 PM.
