Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, one of South Florida's hottest theatre companies, today announced the cast of its fourth production this year, the comedy rock musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, which will run December 1-17 at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse. The eighth show produced by MNM, LITTLE SHOP is a joint production with the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

With music by Alan Menken and written by Howard Ashman, the delightful, toe-tapping, rock and roll/doo-wop musical is about a shy florist and his ravenous flesh-eating plant. Based on the 1960 black comedy film of the same name, directed by Roger Corman and featuring a young Jack Nicholson in a supporting role, the musical opened off-off Broadway in the early 1980s, before being released as a film in 1986 (directed by Frank Oz and with an all-star comedy cast of Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, James Belushi, John Candy, Christopher Guest and Bill Murray).

Bruce Linser will direct LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, after helming previous MNM hits Company, The World Goes 'Round and Side by Side by Sondheim. Paul Reekie, who has served as Musical Director for all previous MNM shows, is returning in the same capacity for this production.

Several veteran MNM performers will head the cast of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS:

+ Mike Westrich as Seymour. He previously starred in MNM's rollicking productions of Hair and Spamalot, as well as in such audience favorites as Rent, Thrill Me (Carbonell nomination for Best Actor in a Musical), Pippin, Avenue Q, The Who's Tommy and tick, tick...BOOM, for which he received the Silver Palm Award.

+ Mallory Newbrough as Audrey. This will be her third MNM show, following Hair and Company. She was most recently seen in An Octoroon at Area Stage, and had starring roles in Beauty and the Beast and Beehive at The Wick Theatre. Additional credits include 1776 at Palm Beach Dramaworks, Titanic (Slow Burn Theatre) and Cabaret (The Winnipesaukee Playhouse).

+ Peter Librach as Mushnick. Last seen in MNM's La Cage Aux Folles, he also starred in local productions of Man of La Mancha, Gypsy, The Sunshine Boys, The Secret Garden, Jekyll and Hyde and Oliver! Librach also appeared in the National Tours of Godspell, Cabaret, Funny Girl and more.

Other LITTLE SHOP players include Jim Ballard, Carl Barber-Steele and Michael Wallace, with Nayomi Braaf, Gabrielle Graham and Shenise Nunez as the singing urchins.

Tickets to LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS are $45 each and are now available for purchase online through the Kravis Center's official website at kravis.org; by phone at 561.832.7469; or at the Kravis Center box office, 701 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach.
