Lynn University's Conservatory Of Music Launches 2019–20 Classical Concert Season In September  Image

Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia guest conductor, today invited fans of classical music to four musical presentations next month that will launch the 2019-20 concert season.

"This year, Lynn celebrates 20 years of musical success with the Conservatory of Music and commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center," said Robertson. "Please join us in September as we launch a magnificent season of concerts, showcases, chamber music, recitals and a special musical treat or two."

Conservatory of Music concerts run from September through May in the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center, the Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall or the Snyder Sanctuary, all located on Lynn's Boca Raton campus.

Sept. 7 - Lynn Wind Ensemble *

The Lynn Wind Ensemble will welcome alumni into the Wold for a celebration of 20 years of learning, listening and love of music. Generations unite for this one-night showcase of Lynn's outstanding woodwind, brass and percussion heritage.

Tickets: $10 General Admission

Sept. 21-22 - Lynn Philharmonia No. 1

  • Saturday: 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 4 p.m.
  • Conductor: Guillermo Figueroa and violin
  • Conductor: Jon Robertson
  • Berlioz: Reverie at Caprice, for violin and orchestra
  • Strauss: Horn Concerto No. 1

Hugo Valverde Villalobos, French horn *

  • Prokoviev: Symphony No. 5

Location: Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center

Tickets: $50 for box, $40 for orchestra, $35 for mezzanine

Sept. 26 - 3rd Annual Alumni Concert

In celebration of the conservatory's 20th anniversary, Lynn invited 20 accomplished alumni to present an all-star concert featuring everything from solo piano to large chamber ensemble. An open reception will follow the concert.

  • Thursday: 7:30 p.m.

Location: Count and Countess de Hoernle International Center / Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall

Tickets: $15
