Interactive Luncheon:
Meet the Playwright Stephanie Walker
To Benefit The Women's Theatre Project
The Women's Theatre Project launches the Southeastern Premiere production of Three Fittings by Stephanie Alison Walker with a special interactive luncheon with the playwright. This limited seating lunch forum will be held on April 25 from 11:30am -1:00pm at the McFatter School in Davie, Florida. Walker's play, Three Fittings, will have its Southeastern premiere that evening. Tickets for the lunch include an interactive discussion with playwright Stephanie Walker and a full gourmet menu.
The choice of entrees will include a lobster, veal or chicken dish. A full gourmet menu including appetizer, soup, salad, entree and dessert, which will be served on linen tablecloths by adult, uniformed servers. As this is a culinary school, the food is expected to be exceptionally good and the service impeccable.
This is an opportunity to have a fine lunch, hear the playwright Stephanie Walker speak about her work, and support The Women's Theatre Project. Attendees are encouraged to see the preview performance of the play the night before the luncheon so they can ask pertinent questions of the playwright. The ticket price for the preview night of the show (Thursday, April 24) will be discounted to $15 per person for the luncheon patrons.
There are only thirty reservations available. A percentage of sales from the lunch will go to support The Women's Theatre Project's 2008 season. Tickets are $25 per person including gratuities. $40 includes luncheon and preview performance on April 24th. Payment for the event is cash or check only made payable to The Women's Theatre Project, 1314 East Las Olas Boulevard, #31, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301. RSVPs are required by April 20th to twtp@bellsouth.net or 954-462-2334.
The luncheon will be held at McFatter Culinary Bistro on the campus of McFatter Technical School at 6500 Nova Drive in Davie. Free parking is available in the west parking lot.
ABOUT THE PLAY:
Three brides-to-be, one bridal salon, and a million perfect dresses. One bride may have said yes too soon, terrified she's purchased a gown (and perhaps more) that she might, in the end, despise. Another bride believes matching bridesmaid dresses are fascist and would rather end world hunger than register at Tiffany's. And yet another bride reminds us that it is truly not about the dress. Along with the wedding gowns…love, heartbreak, longing, and delusion are on display at a bridal boutique.
