Whodunit? Will this troupe of Sherlock Holmes theatre actors figure it out before it's too late? The Lake Worth Playhouse kicks off the holiday season with an unusual murder-mystery starring the classic Sherlock Holmes in this Christmas Eve comedy not to be forgotten.

"I was thrilled to get the chance to direct this production myself. Any time you get to play with great characters such as Sherlock Holmes is such a treat! Farce is beyond fun and the special talent we have brought together is lighting up the stage!" - Jodie Dixon Mears, Game's Afoot Director, Lake Worth Playhouse Artistic Director

"The most demanding play I've ever done and worth every minute." - David Zide, playing Sherlock Holmes/Gilette

David Zide (Gilette) and Jason Leadingham (Felix) were most recently seen on The Playhouse stage in last season's The Foreigner, a fish-out-of-water comedy set in a rural hunting lodge. The Game's Afoot thrives on the physical and witty humor these two naturals bring to the table in lead roles.

It is December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it's up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
