Kravis Center Launches Season with Great Concerts and Shows in October/November

The dynamic 26th annual season of the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will open soon with a dozen different concerts and shows for every audience and every taste during October and November:

OCTOBER

October 7 (Saturday)

Kravis Center Public Ticket Sale Day

The Dreyfoos Hall lobby will open at 7:30 am with breakfast treats, coffee and more. Starting at 8 am, Jill and Rich from Legends Radio 100.3 FM will bring their sparkling banter and contest give-aways live to the festive event. The outside box office windows will open at 9 am, when entertainment fans can purchase tickets for dozens of different shows, concerts and special events. Tickets for several different series at the Kravis Center will go on sale on later dates, including the Young Artists Series, the Adults at Leisure Series, Michael Feinstein Conducts The Kravis Center Pops Orchestra and several Kravis On Broadway productions. Ticket buyers actually have three ways to purchase that Saturday morning: online through the Kravis Center's official website at kravis.org; in person at the Box Office, located at 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach; or by phone at 561-832-7469 or 800-572-8471.

Shopkins Live! lights up the stage in this premiere live production packed with show stopping performances featuring the Shoppies. Three former members of English progressive rock band YES - co-founder and lead vocalist Jon Anderson; guitarist and singer Trevor Rabin; and keyboardist Rick Wakeman - joined forces in 2010 to affirm the group's legacy and reunited again last year to kickoff their new tour. Critics rave about the three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members who stay Close to the Edge while serving up YES classics and recording new material.

Two worlds collide in the Lincoln Center Theater production of this "breathtaking and exquisite" (The New York Times) musical, directed by Bartlett Sher. At the crossroads of Ukrainian folklore and theater lays DakhaBrakha, a world music quartet that plumbs the depths of contemporary roots and rhythms. The self-described "ethnic chaos" band is accompanied by Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian traditional instruments, including drums, accordion and didgeridoo. Created by avant-garde director Vladyslav Troitskyi, DakhaBrakha, which means give/take in old Ukrainian, blends an astonishing vocal range with brilliant scenic effects.
