Kravis Center Announces Regional Arts Classical Concert Series 2018/2019  ImageAs the first performance announcement for its upcoming 27th season, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is announcing the 2018/2019 Regional Arts Classical Concert Series MUSIC "At Eight" and MUSIC "At Two", featuring an incredible roster of world-class orchestras and performing artists. The series is sponsored by Leonard and Sophie Davis, with subscriptions going on sale to the general public beginning at 10 am on March 30.

"As always, the Kravis Center presents more national and international orchestras and artists than any other venue in the state of Florida. Our 2018/2019 Regional Arts season offers some of the most distinguished names from the world of classical music, including Sir James Galway and Itzhak Perlman," said Lee Bell, Senior Director of Programming at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

Highlights for the 2018/2019 Regional Arts Classical Concert Series will include extraordinary concerts by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra led by Conductor Zubin Mehta, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by the legendary Riccardo Muti, the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Kirill Karabits and featuring pianist George Li, the Brussels Philharmonic led by Conductor Stéphane Denève, and more.

All Regional Arts Series concerts will be held in the Kravis Center's Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall. In addition, Regional Arts Classical Concerts will feature a Beyond the Stage talk by Sharon McDaniel at 6:45 pm for MUSIC "At Eight" concerts and 12:45 p.m. for MUSIC "At Two." The Regional Arts Programming Associate and a long-time classical music journalist, McDaniel will provide background information about the concert and discuss elements of interest to all audience members, from music novices to experts. Nancy and Jay Parker sponsor the Beyond the Stage pre-performance talks.

The Kravis Center's Regional Arts Classical Concert Series is currently in its subscription renewal period. Subscription tickets for the 2018/2019 season start as low as $87 for the three-concert 2 pm series and $160 for the eight-concert 8 pm series.
