South Florida's newest producing team, Jason Blitman & Michelle Terl, have launched FINDING NEMA - an exciting new festival aimed at pairing fresh, young local talent with up-and-coming composing teams to celebrate new voices in musical theatre.

FINDING NEMA 2010: The Summer Festival of New & Emerging Musical Artists was created to introduce the talents of rising musical theatre artists to the public. From writers to performers, each year NEMA is dedicated to showcasing the future of musical theatre in the thriving arts community in South Florida. July 2010 marks the beginning of this adventure by bringing the exciting music of multiple award winning composing team Michael Kooman (music) and Christopher Dimond (lyrics) to the stage with a cast of young professionals from the tri-county area. Featuring songs from HOMEMADE FUSION, DANI GIRL, and JUNIOR CLAUS, along with college students from top theatre cities and schools across the country (including New York, Chicago, Boston, and Miami) this year's festival promises to be an outstanding inaugural triumph!

About Kooman & Dimond: In addition to being awarded the 2010 Larson Award, Michael and Chris are 2009-2010 Dramatists Guild Fellows, were recently Fellows at the O'Neill Music Theater Conference, and were finalists for the 2009 Fred Ebb Award. They have been invited to perform a concert of their music at the Kennedy Center as part of the "Broadway: Today and Tomorrow" celebration and their New Visions/New Voices festival.

Theatre lovers everywhere are invited to join us for what is sure to be an electrifying evening of fantastic new material! And as an added bonus, NEMA 2010 will be presented the brand new theatre space at Andrews Living Arts Studio, an intimate stage in the heart of the downtown Ft. Lauderdale's arts district just perfect for sharing our own new visions and new voices!
