The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts is pleased to announce its 25th anniversary of excellent performing arts and entertainment on the Space Coast! “As we embark on the next 25 years, we are planning a series of fundraisers that will celebrate the legacy of our wonderful facility and raise support for its outstanding programs,” said Executive Director, Steve Janicki.
The signature fundraising event for the theatre is the 25th Anniversary Celebration. This exclusive event package includes an invitation to a private “Cocktail Kickoff Party” at the home of Phil and Jeanne Farmer, a ticket to see the legendary Boston Pops Orchestra presenting The Barbara Streisand Songbook with Keith Lockhart and Ann Hampton Callaway on March 2nd, a post show coffee and dessert meet-and-greet with Boston Pops director Keith Lockhart (pending approval), and a ticket to the musical Rock of Ages on Wednesday, April 10th (actual King Center’s 25th anniversary). It also includes admission to an ‘80s themed pre-show party on April 10th. Various contribution levels are available for this signature event. For information, contact Autumn Shrum at 321.433.5714 or ashrum@kingcenter.com.
For a donation of $25, the 25th Anniversary Ticket Raffle gives everyone who purchases a ticket the opportunity to win a pair of two orchestra seating tickets to every show at the King Center in 2013, including Brevard Symphony Orchestra performances. There are only 2,500 raffle tickets available. They can be purchased through kingcenter.com, the King Center ticket office, staff members and board members.
The 25th Anniversary Star Memorabilia Auction will be launched in January 2013 and will run through April 10, 2013. The online auction will consist of the various posters and miscellaneous items autographed by stars who have performed on the King Center stage.
The Honorary Event Chairmen for the King Center’s 25th Anniversary fundraising celebrations are Mr. & Mrs. Phil Farmer and Mr. & Mrs. J. Stanley Payne. The Co-Chairpersons are Darcia Jones-Francey and Myra Igo Haley.
All proceeds go to the King Center for the Performing Arts programs and Endowment. The King Center is a direct support organization of Brevard Community College and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
