J's Cultural Arts Theatre (JCAT) in association with Aaron Grant Theatrical & Kodesh Congregation, Inc is proud to announce the World Premier Production of Ben Andron's new intellectual thriller, BROKEN SNOW, in Miami, Florida.

BROKEN SNOW stars Carbonell Award Winners Avi Hoffman* & Nicholas Richberg* with Daniel Llaca. BROKEN SNOW will be produced under an Actors' Equity Association Guest Artist Agreement.

In BROKEN SNOW, two strangers (Richberg & Llaca) are brought together by the mystery & memories of an enigmatic man (Hoffman) that will make them question everything about who they are.

Directed in the round by Michael Andron, BROKEN SNOW will be the first JCAT professional (Equity) production. This 60th JCAT production closes their 10th Anniversary Season.

BROKEN SNOW continues a longstanding artistic collaboration between New York based producer Aaron Grant & LA based playwright Ben Andron. In fact, BROKEN SNOW will premiere in the same city where this collaboration began - Miami.

In the spring of 1991, a 4th grader (Aaron Grant) & a 9th grader (Ben Andron) were in a production of Peter Pan, directed by Ben's father, Michael, who started a youth theatre/community theatre at the Hillel Community Day School, a private school that the boys attended. Michael had retired from doing theatre before Ben was born, but started the Hillel Community Theatre because Ben wanted to "be in a show." In 2007, fifty shows later, the boys long grown up, Michael & his wife Lillian, created JCAT at the Michael Ann Russell JCC on the adjacent campus, opening the youth program to students from over 30 schools. Ben & Aaron remained friends, always keeping in touch & in 2010, Ben wrote White Lies, which opened in New York City at New World Stages & starring Tony Award-winner Betty Buckley & Peter Scolari, with Aaron Grant as producer & General Manager.

Today, Aaron remains a Producer & General Manager in NYC & Ben is an award-winning producer of film trailers, heading the marketing firm Bond Inc. in LA & a playwright. Ben's newest play, BROKEN SNOW, has its World Premiere on May 3, 2017, in an Equity production at JCAT, directed by Producing Artistic Director Michael Andron. This is a first for Michael, directing a professional production of one of his son's plays & producing with Aaron.
