An Evening with Jake Shimabukuro
Ukulele wizard Jake Shimabukuro, known for his blindingly fast and complex finger work, has not only been declared a "musical hero" by Rolling Stone but also has earned comparisons to Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis. The Hawaii-born virtuoso and composer, who began playing the ukulele at age 4, soared to stardom in 2006 after a YouTube video of him performing While My Guitar Gently Weeps gained worldwide attention. Shimabukuro's spellbinding renditions combine elements of jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical, folk, and flamenco. The Japanese-American artist is the subject of an award-winning documentary, Life on Four Strings.

Late Nite Catechism
by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan
Late Night Catechism is a highly regarded comedy in which an actress playing an irrepressible sister swings from benevolent instructor to authoritative drill sergeant, serving up parochial school mirth and memories. The none-too-serious nun rewards her audience "class" for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries, laminated saint cards and other pious prizes. Called "hilarious, well-written and inspired" by The New York Times, the long-running play has been reminding crowds of Latin Mass, meatless Fridays and ruler-smacked knuckles since 1993. You'll definitely want to make this hysterical performance a habit.

Straight No Chaser
The New Old Fashioned Tour
If the phrase "male a cappella group" conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses... think again. Straight No Chaser are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fan base, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases. On the road, Straight No Chaser has built a reputation as an unforgettable live act.

The McCartney Years
There are many Beatles tributes, but there's only one that captures the genius of Paul McCartney at the height of his career in the mid-'70s, and this is it! A note-for-note re-creation of a Wings Over America concert, The McCartney Years - a technically stunning and powerful production - has been praised by original Beatles promoter Sid Bernstein as "the best on the scene today." This is one amazing Band on the Run that you won't want to miss.
