Jan McArt's New Play Readings Will Now Feature Jay Stuart's GLORY HALLELUJAH, HERE COMES SYDNEY! ImageLynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced a change to the opening show of this season's Jan McArt's New Play Readings. The Diamond Girl by Tony Finstrom, originally slated for next Monday evening, is being replaced by another new play, Glory Hallelujah, Here Comes Sidney! by Jay Stuart.

After a compulsive, brilliant and acerbic comedian crashes his car, he finds himself pleading his case for heavenly entrance to mediocre angels with shady pasts. He relives the warts of his hedonistic past while creating havoc until gaining access right to The Chief-ultimately convincing The Chief to change man and himself. Jay Stuart co-stars in the show along with Stephen Aiello, Rachel Klein, Peter Librach, Michael Lifshitz, David Lile and Mia Matthews.

The remaining shows of Jan McArt's New Play Readings include Greg Burdick's Agent of Change on Jan. 14, The Quintessence of Joy by Stuart Meltzer on Feb. 11, and Michael McKeever's Farce and Away on March 4.

Series subscriptions are $36, and individual show tickets are $10. They can be purchased in person at the Lynn University box office, located in the Wold at 3601 N. Military Trail, online at events.lynn.edu or by phone at +1 561-237-9000.
