International Jazz Artist Kevin Mahogany To Headline 8/29 Fundraiser at the Miracle Theatre

The Miami Jazz Party presents international jazz artist Kevin Mahogany, in a special one night only performance Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables.

Mahogany, a premiere Jazz vocalist and native of Kansas City, MO, has produced eleven individual albums and has contributed to countless more of his peer's over the past twenty years. He has since started his own recording label and is currently working on two more albums scheduled for release. Newsweek describes him as "the standout jazz vocalist of his generation."

Mahogany and Friends, his rhythm accompaniment, will take the stage at the Miracle Theatre to benefit the Miami Jazz Party, a local group that strives to promote Jazz appreciation and awareness in South Florida since 2006. The group's original studio and offices were wiped out by Hurricane Katrina.

The event is sponsored by Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, Dedalos, Inc., and Miami Jazz Workshop. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased online through www.instantseats.com.
