Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Matthew Lombardo will present five-time Emmy Award-winner Heather Tom in Vanities directed by John J. Castonia. Tickets go on sale January 10, 2014 for the acclaimed Jack Heifner play, which is part of the WinterStage Season at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from March 26-30, 2014.
The story centers on the lives and friendship of three Texas cheerleaders starting from high school in 1963, continuing through college as sorority sisters in the late 1960s and ending with the dissolution of their friendship in the mid-1970s as their interests and livelihoods change. Vanities had one of the longest Off-Broadway runs on record, playing 1785 performances at the Chelsea Theatre Center (now The Westside Theatre). Heifner received a 1976 Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding New Play.
Ms. Tom is best known for her portrayal of Victoria Newman on CBS' The Young and The Restless. She also played Kelly Cramer on ABC's One Life to Live while also making brief appearances on All My Children. Since 2007, she has become widely recognized for her role as Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. She has earned a total of five Emmy Awards, 15 Nominations and is the only actress to win all three categories of Younger Actress, Supporting Actress and Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Ms. Tom has also guest starred on the television series Monk, Ugly Betty, Law and Order SVU and Criminal Minds.

Performance times are: Wednesday, March 26 at 8 p.m.; Thursday, March 27 at 2 and 8 p.m.; Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 2 & 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m.
