Play a Central Role in the
Grand Opening of Miami Performing Arts Center

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the future of South Florida.  When Miami Performing Arts Center opens in October, Miami will be transformed into one of the great cultural capitals of the world! As an MPAC volunteer you will help make that happen from the day you join, right through to Grand Opening and for years to come.

Furthermore,

Volunteers who join by July 15, 2006 will receive Founder Volunteer status in printed materials listing MPAC volunteers.

Volunteers will be among the first in the community to experience Miami Performing Arts Center in August 2006 by taking part in important operations testing of the facilitites and rehearsal performances in the auditoriums.

Volunteers automatically become Members of the Alliance for MPAC at the basic level of membership, which includes advance notice of performances and other special events.

Volunteers receive priority registration on select educational programs and subscriptions to selected MPAC publications.

MPAC Volunteer training begins in July 2006!

There are as many good reasons to volunteer at Miami Performing Arts Center as there are people eager to be a part of this great cultural adventure. Below, some of MPAC's very first volunteers share their thoughts.

"I feel an obligation to give back to this community that welcomed me when I arrived 12 years ago from my native country, Peru. And because I believe that art is so important to the development of people, I thought that MPAC would be a great place to offer my time and skills to accomplish its mission." -Rubi Hurtado, TV and radio producer

"I just moved to Miami with my new husband. I can't imagine a better use of my free time than helping Miami Performing Arts Center. I believe that art is the purest expression of being human, and it's wonderful that my new city is celebrating this with the new Center." -Maria Fernanda Pellegrini, freelance photographer

"I would like to contribute my time and skills to an organization that I am interested in. My goals are not only to help this organization in its mission but to sharpen my own skills and meet other people in the community." -Paula Nino, Web editor
