Broward Cultural Division, ArtServe and Creative Capital Professional Development Program, and The Girls' Club have collaborated to invite Golden Globe winner and Emmy-nominated TV writer and producer Maxine Lapiduss to Broward County for an encore presentation on 'branding.' Following the success of her first Broward workshop on the subject in the fall of 2013, the workshop, Authentic Branding Introduction, will take place on Tuesday, April 1, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at The Girls' Club Gallery, 117 NE 2nd Street in Fort Lauderdale.

Workshop leader Maxine Lapiduss will lead participants through a few key exercises designed to help discover what makes them unique, what traits they project, and how others perceive them. With this knowledge participants can then create an authentic personal narrative to more effectively present themselves and their work in marketing materials, website, social media and in-person communications.

"Whether you know it or not, the moment you enter a room, people form an opinion about you," says Lapiduss. "Only a fraction of your message is conveyed through the words you choose-what you wear, the energy and enthusiasm you convey, and how you engage others all affect how people respond to you, and your art."

This except from Lapiduss' first workshop in Broward, sets the stage for the second presentation. Her workshops on this subject have been used to help visual artists, authors, celebrities, and business executives be more in touch with who they are publically, in order to make their work more accessible and viable for their audiences.

In addition to her highly successful TV writing and producing career which spans over 25 years, Lapiduss has spent the last 10 years as an entrepreneur, non-profit founder, and Creative Strategist -- helping visual artists, authors, filmmakers, and other creatives think more like successful businesses, and helping successful businesses think more creatively-- expanding their brands and bottom lines. Currently Maxine is shuttling back and forth between Los Angeles, where she works in television and consults with clients, and Moscow where she is a Consultant for Sony International. Maxine is a Pittsburgh native and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.

Please RSVP Online for this workshop. For more information, please contact Adriane Clarke, grants specialist, 954-357-7530.
