"'Glengarry Glen Ross' explodes at the Waterfront Playhouse" says Mark Howell in his rave review in Solares Hill. David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning play is wowing audiences and sparking debate at the award-winning Waterfront Playhouse through February 12th. Considered to be one of the theater's masterworks of the late 20th Century, "Glengarry" has been the recipient of every major theater award available. Directed by George Gugleotti, "Glengarry" features a powerhouse ensemble of actors. The production is sponsored by AT&T, The Real Yellow Pages. "Glengarry" carries an audience advisory of "adult language."

"Glengarry" is the story of four morally-challenged salesmen working out of a Chicago real estate office, selling dodgy parcels of land in Florida. The developments have posh-sounding names like "Glengarry Highlands" and "Glen Ross Farms," but the parcels are nothing more than swampland. The guys do whatever it takes to make the sale, engaging in a Darwinian race to become the top seller. Their battle is waged with heat, humor, emotional fireworks and Mamet's famously profane dialogue. The New York Times calls the play "ferocious comedy and drama, crackling with tension...like having espresso pumped directly into your bloodstream."

Director George Gugleotti has assembled a top tier group of actors that are receiving accolades: Carbonell award-winner Peter Haig ("Tuesdays With Morrie", Brandon Beach ("Greetings!"), Glenn Wilson making his Waterfront debut, Brian Furlong ("Twelve Angry Men"), Quincy Perkins ("Greetings!"), Tom Murtha ("The Best Man") and Mook J ("Cloud Nine").

Set designer Michael Boyer created the two locations of "Glengarry" - a Chinese restaurant and the real estate office. Carmen Rodriguez is the costume designer. David Bird created the lighting. Kristen Wilson acts as stage manager.
