The Garden Theatre presents The Garden Community Choir in Concert, Friday-Saturday, May 21-22 at 8pm at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street). This concert is a celebration of spring and will feature a variety of musical selections. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students or seniors. Seating is General Admission.

ABOUT GARDEN COMMUNITY CHOIR
The Garden Community Choir is composed of approximately 60 singers from the local community who volunteer their time and voices. Nearly half of the members are residents of Winter Garden. The rest are singers from surrounding areas including Ocoee, Clermont, Windermere, Orlando, Montverde, and Winter Park.

The choir is diverse not only in age, but also in racial and socio-economic backgrounds. The music program, chosen by Choir Director Jeffrey Redding, reflects this diversity. Mr. Redding, who is the choral director at West Orange High School, leads the GCC with the mission of building community through song.

Community members interested in singing with the Garden Community Choir are welcome to join. Auditions are not required - only a desire to sing and a strong commitment to the group and its goal of "building community through song."

ABOUT THE GARDEN THEATRE

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is operated by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization which works to preserve local history and offers cultural theatric experiences unique to West Orange County and the citizens of Winter Garden. The theatre restoration project, which began in 2003, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue. The former single screen movie theater hosts live theatre, dance and music, cinema viewings, various community events and educational programs.
