Garden Theatre Seeks Volunteers

The Garden Theatre announces the next Volunteer Orientation sessions at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street).  These sessions will provide background on theatre history and operations, as well as on volunteer roles for any community members interested in becoming more involved with the theatre.
 
Orientation sessions will be held on:
Saturday, September 18 from 11am-12:30pmMonday, September 20 from 6-7:30pmThursday, September 30 from 6-7:30pm
 
The Garden Theatre is seeking individuals who have an interest in volunteering for the 09-10 live performance season in the concession area, taking tickets, ushering, and a variety of other activities.  High school students needing community service hours can also fulfill their requirements with this volunteer opportunity.  Volunteers ages 15 and up are welcome.   Volunteers are invited to watch the performance for free on the night they volunteer.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is a not-for-profit community organization committed to enriching, engaging, and entertaining through creative experiences.  The theatre, which reopened 2008, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue.  The Garden Theatre hosts live plays, concerts, movies, and more to the residents of and visitors to the city of Winter Garden.
