The Garden Theatre is pleased to announce the inaugural Micro-Budget Film Festival, February 2-5, 2012, at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street). This niche film festival will showcase dramatic feature length films on the cutting edge of creative filmmaking, all of which will have been produced for $100,000 or less.

Underwritten by the Mericos Foundation, the Micro-Budget Film Festival will showcase a selection of 12-20 feature-length narratives to be screened at the historic Garden Theatre in historic downtown Winter Garden. The Festival will be produced by the Garden Theatre team, led by Garden Theatre Board Member David Romano, former Executive Producer of the Showcase Shorts Film Festival, and Chris Blanc, former General Manager of Enzian Theater and the Florida Film Festival.

Along with the films, the Micro-Budget Film Festival will also be feature parties, question-and-answer sessions with visiting filmmakers, and educational forums. There will be many opportunities to get involved, see the best in cutting edge micro-budget film making, connect with the community, and engage with creative leaders in the industry.
