New Theatre is pleased to continue its 2007 – 2008 New Voices Reading Series with Skin in Flames

Under the helm of literary manager, Tara Vodihn, Skin in Flames, written by Guillem Clua and translated by D.J. Sanders, will have a free play reading directed by Florida Stage's Javier Chacin, on Wednesday, October 17, at 7 pm.

In Skin in Flames, the personal and political collide as two very different sets of people meet in the same hotel room. Centered around an iconic wartime image and its significance in a still turbulent society, the photographer responsible for the image is challenged by a young journalist who claims to be the girl in the photo.  But is she really?

Relationships between the First and Third World twist and turn in this highly theatrical work, which won the XXII City of Alcoi Theatre Prize in 2004 and the 2005 Serra d'Or Critics Award.
