Lorenzo Lamas: A Romantic Evening

In a cleverly conceived show directed by Stuart Ross, Lamas croons in a baritone that is reminiscent of Dean Martin. Lamas' recent appearance at Feinstein's in New York City proved he's not just a pretty face - he sings well too. Variety scribe Robert L. Daniels described Lamas' voice as "a lusty baritone" while Stephen Holden of The New York Times called him "a crooning baritone who at times echoes Dean Martin." - Reminiscent of The King of Cool, Lamas is suave and handsome, delivering an intimate performance of timeless ballads full of silky style.

Nessun dorma, have made Turandot more popular than ever. The story of the conversion of an ice princess through the power of love, placed in ancient Peking, provides the essential elements for grand opera - passion, dramatic tension, an exotic locale. Puccini gifts us with one glorious aria and ensemble after another. The richness of melody and the sumptuousness of the orchestral music are the stuff that creates opera fans for life.

Madama Butterfly....Puccini

Celebrated for its magnificence, Madame Butterfly is different from many operas. It is intimate, devoid of spectacle, taking place completely within a house in Nagasaki. There is one straight plot line, without subplots. Girl wins boy, girl loses boy, girl commits hara kiri. What makes the piece work are the characterizations of Butterfly and her Captain Pinkerton, both in the drama and in the rich and luscious Puccini score.
