The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams Oct. 24-Nov. 16 Born Yesterday is the story of Harry Brock, a corrupt tycoon who arrives in Washington, with his showgirl mistress, Billie, in tow. However, when Billie's naïveté threatens to undermine his shady business dealings, he hires a journalist to teach Billie the ropes. Not only are her eyes opened, but she learns more than Harry bargained for in this Pygmalion-esque comic love story.Indian Blood by A.R. Gurney Nov. 28-Dec. 21 Just in time for the holidays, Florida Rep takes audiences back to Christmas 1946. Truman is President, milk costs fifty cents and 16-year-old Eddie is in trouble at school - and much to the chagrin of his WASPy family, Eddie blames his behavior on his restless, Native American ancestry, his Indian Blood. This 2006 Off-Broadway comedy is a Southeast U.S. premiere that comes from the author of Sylvia, The Cocktail Hour and The Middle Ages. Jan. 9-Feb. 1 Florida Rep opens the new year with a powerful, Tony Award-winning Best Play that is told through the memories of an illegitimate son, as he remembers his mother and her maiden sisters who raised him in an Irish village in 1936. This witty comedy tells the story of a joyously, empty nest that just won't stay empty!The Art of Murder by Joe DiPietro Mar. 20-Apr. 12 From the author of Florida Rep's biggest hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, and winner of the Edgar Award for Best Mystery, this play tells the story of a world-renowned artist & eccentric who is planning to dispose of his flamboyant art dealer, but the tables may be turned. The evening unfolds as a seductive danse macabre that will have audiences gasping for breath until the last thrilling moments. The Last Romance by Joe DiPietro Apr. 24-May 17 This Eastern U.S. premiere is a heartwarming boy-meets-girl comedy with one unique twist, the boy and girl are senior citizens. 80-year-old Ralph unexpectedly finds love again at the local dog park with Carol, an attractive woman of a certain age who never dreamed another chance at love either.
