Florida Grand Opera will host its 75th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 8:30 PM at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. The gala will benefit FGO's future productions, education and outreach initiatives. These programs include free access to opera education for at-risk youth and intensive training for young opera singers as they enter the first phase of their careers.

The evening will begin at 5:30 PM, with a performance of Carmen. "We look forward to beginning the evening with a sensational production ofCarmen featuring an international cast, many of whom are making their FGO debuts. What a wonderful way to kick off the season," said Susan T. Danis, General Director and CEO.

The gala is being chaired by Mrs. Kristin Podack and Mrs. Olga Figueras. "At FGO everyone is excitedly engaged working on all the details of a magnificent anniversary gala. Flamenco dancers and the fabulous Spanish guitarist Marco Sartor will help create the illusion that we have transported you to Spain, where you will enjoy fine wines and a delicious and carefully confectioned Spanish cuisine menu. Red roses and all the incredible decor will speak loudly about the passion and the drama of the performance you just enjoyed. After dinner we will dance the night away," say the chairs. "We would love for you to join us in celebrating this milestone, the event of the year, and something not to be missed!"

After the performance, guests will make their way to the Peacock Room for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres inspired by Carmen and the flavors of Spain. The cocktail reception will be followed by sumptuous dinner prepared by rising chef Brad Kilgore on the Lynn Wolfson Stage. The evening will include matadors, flamenco dancers, Spanish guitar, dancing and other surprises.

Individual tickets begin at $1,000 or $10,000 for a table of ten, while additional benefit opportunities include a $15,000 Patrocinador Table, $20,000 Micaëla or Escamillo Table and $25,000 Carmen or Maestro Table.
