Off Broadway Musical Hit
Five Course Love
Opens at the Miracle Theatre
Coral Gables, FL (April 17, 2006) – The recent Off-Broadway hit musical Five Course Love is 2 cups comedy, 1-cup melody, and heaping portions of delicious mouth-watering love. Set in five different restaurants three actors get the chance of a lifetime to play fifteen characters, each character as silly and unique as the last. Their amorous combinations are served up with spicy seasonings and sassy trimmings. It is truly a comedy of stereotypes, from the Barbie girl to the Italian machismo to a country bumpkin and his Texas style barbecue. Gregg Coffin's music runs from country and western to Berlin cabaret to 1950's doo-wop to Italian opera with each vignette-taking place in a different restaurant.
Janet Dacal (Barbie/Sofia/Gretchen/Rosalina/Kitty) returns to Actors' Playhouse from her recent role as Rhonda in the Beach Boys Broadway musical, Good Vibrations. Oscar Cheda (Dean/Carlo/Heimlich/Ernesto/Pops) starred in the Actors' Playhouse productions of Fiddler on the Roof and Shear Madness. Christopher A.
