Set during a "hot as blazes" summer in Philadelphia, "1776" is the Tony Award-winning musical about the seminal act in American history: the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Sectional differences, pride and fear threaten the Declaration and the fledgling nation. Peter Stone and Sherman Edwards freely adapt the historical record to create an engaging, witty look at the events that lead up to the signing of this historic document. The production features a cast of 23 magnificent performers from our community. "1776" is produced by The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse under the direction of Anastacia Hawkins-Smith and will be adapted to the King Center stage using the sets, costumes, lighting and sound from the production's previous successful run at the Playhouse.

Tell Tale Theatre's professional company will cast and direct campers in a production using original script of Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. Campers will develop and heighten skills to use the "tools of the actor"-body, voice, imagination and emotions while learning to step into character. In addition to the fun experience and development of an acting resume, the camp using this original production will instill self-confidence, imagination, communication skills and team work. Camp will culminate with a final presentation of The Snow Queen highlighting the skills and accomplishment of the campers.

Tell Tale Theatre is on the Southern Arts Federation recommended tour roster and the recipient of numerous awards for its original plays and community service.
