'Developing Annual Sustainability'
Internationally-Recognized Workshop Takes In-Depth Look at
Fundraising Strategies on October 16 & 17, 2008 at ArtServe
Broward County Cultural Division invites small not-for-profit cultural arts organizations to participate in an internationally-recognized seminar, Developing Annual Sustainability. The workshop will be held at ArtServe Inc., 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale on October 16 & 17, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This course is valuable to both new and seasoned professionals, volunteers, and staff who must raise funds and oversee operations and is an unparalleled opportunity to build staff and board capacity.
Developing Annual Sustainability will help fundraisers build a solid annual campaign fund, by learning how to use volunteers most effectively for special events, to soliciting major gifts on a yearly basis. Participants will also learn how to use the fundraising strategies that most appeal to potential donors and discover how to create a broad, enduring base of supporters who will take the non-profit to its annual funding goal.
Who Should Attend: Development officers, annual fund campaign staff, board members, volunteers, prospect researchers, program officers, department heads and financial officers. Participants will learn how to: determine which strategies to use and when to use them; make a convincing case for support; create gift range charts for planning; get volunteers actively involved with your fundraising; use the annual fund to support a total development program; how to put together an annual fund and how to assess the cost efficiency and effectiveness of your annual fund. Participants will receive: an easy-to-use, comprehensive Study Guide to use for future reference.
