Dialogue Among Diverse Communities
To be hosted by the Broward Cultural Division on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the Okalee Museum in Hollywood
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Broward County Commission's Cultural Division, in partnership with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, invites artists, arts organizations, and other interested parties, to attend a Cultural Diversity Artists' Forum at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the Okalee Museum, 5710 Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL ( on the east end of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Complex.)
The primary focus of this workshop is to meet and encourage dialogue with artists and arts organizations in order to identify their needs. The Forum offers artists an opportunity to learn about the different services offered by the Cultural Division, to learn new skills for career enhancement and network with other artists and arts organizations, as well as information on grants, workshops, school and community artist residencies, teaching opportunities, publications and marketing.
"The Cultural Diversity Artists' Forums are a wonderful opportunity for us to learn about the area's artists, as well as openly discuss new ideas and future needs, of artists and arts organizations," says Mary A. Becht, director of the Cultural Division.
