Coral Springs Center Invites Kids And Teens To Rock Out This Summer With NEXT STOP BROADWAY  Image

The Coral Springs Center for the Arts is offering a fun, theatrical-based summer camp for children and teens this summer. To register, a deposit of $99 per person is required by May 4.

Kids and teens are invited to Rock Out this Summer with the "number one performing arts camp" in South Florida. Next Stop Broadway Summer Camp has three incredible youth shows and one amazing teen show this summer.

Next Stop Broadway is the premier training center for young performers in South Florida. Established in 2002, it has been making lifelong memories for the past 16 years. Children are split into age/grade-appropriate groups, and travel to classes full of fun activities designed just for them in Singing, Dancing, Acting, Stage Production Arts, and more. Each session culminates in full-scale, fully designed production, in which every camper participates.

In addition, the Coral Springs Center for the Arts offers an extended care program, lunch program, and so much more.

The various Summer Camp productions for Grades 1-8, Ages 6-13 include:

Session 1 June 11-29

CAMP ROCK

Mitchie and her friends arrive at Camp Rock, ready to spend another summer jamming out and having the time of their lives. But the new, flashy Camp Star across the lake now threatens Camp Rock's very existence. To keep the doors open, Mitchie steps up, rallies her fellow Camp Rockers and gets them into top shape for the ultimate showdown. Disney's Camp Rock: The Musical, a combination of The Disney Channels Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (starring teen idols, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers) will fire up the stage with hit songs like This is Me, Can't Back Down, It's On, and We Rock.

+ Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm

+ Extended Care: 7:30 am to 9 am, 4 pm to 6 pm

+ Tuition: $750, with $99 down due by May 4, 2018.

Session 2 July 2-20

SCHOOL OF ROCK

Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme...You better get me to school on time! School of Rock is based on the hit movie. The show follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school's headmistress finding out? School of Rock is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music.

+ Show Date: Friday, July 20, at 6:30 pm

+ Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm (No camp on July 4)

+ Extended Care: 7:30 am to 9 am, 4 pm to 6 pm

Session 3 July 23-August 10

ALADDIN

Based on the iconic animated film, Disney's Aladdin is sure to send audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure. When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie and more are here in Disney's Aladdin, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.

+ Show Date: Friday, August 10, at 6:30 pm

+ Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm

+ Extended Care: 7:30 am to 9 am, 4 pm to 6 pm

+ Tuition: $750, with $99 down due by May 4, 2018.

TEEN THEATRE PROJECT

For Grades 9+, Ages 14+

This will be a complete, pre-professional experience set in an encouraging environment in which everyone participates in the entire full-scale, fully designed production. This is a great way for teens to build confidence and develop their skills before the school year begins. They will train with a superstar team, workshop with visiting professionals, and get to perform for a visiting casting agent.

Teen Theatre Project June 25-July 27

ROCKY HORROR

A story of creation, love, hate, and adventure, Rocky Horror is a humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the late 1940s through to the early 1970s. This rock-opera features a wacky cast of characters and classic songs, like Science Fiction/Double Feature and The Time Warp.

+ Show Dates: Thursday & Friday, July 26-27, at 7 pm

+ Hours: Week 1-4 - Monday through Friday, 1 to 6 pm; Week 5 - 10 am to 6 pm

+ Tuition: $1,050, with $99 down due by May 4, 2018.
