'Cirque Dreams Broadway' Auditions At Broward Center February 12th

Audition Notice

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is holding auditions for singers to perform alongside world-class Cirque Dreams athletes, performance artists and Broadway's biggest stars in the March 24 world premiere of Cirque Dreams Broadway directed by Neil Goldberg. Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

The show is casting both male and female children, teenagers and adults. Those interested are asked to bring a performance resume and a non-returnable head shot or recent photo. Be prepared to perform the following:
• girls ages 8 -14 to perform "Tomorrow" from Annie
• boys ages 8 -14 to perform "Consider Yourself" from Oliver
• females age 16 and up to perform "Memory" from Cats
• males age 16 and up to perform "Footloose" from Footloose
• males or females age 18 and up to perform "Money" from Cabaret.
Sheet music and piano accompaniment will be provided. Call backs will be made by appointment. Cast will be required to attend rehearsals on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23. These are paid roles and selected vocalists will receive two complimentary tickets for their guests to attend the show.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Broward Center presents the world premiere of Cirque Dreams Broadway starring Linda Eder and Marc Kudisch and directed by Neil Goldberg on Thursday, March 24 at 8 p.m. Eder (Jekyll and Hyde and The Scarlett Pimpernel) and three-time Tony-Award® nominee Kudisch (Nine To Five, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), along with performers from the Cirque Dreams phenomenon will be directed by Cirque Dreams founder and theatrical impresario Neil Goldberg in a unique Broadway journey re-imagined through awe-inspiring feats and visual spectacles.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is located in the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District at 201 SW Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
