The Centre Theater, the professional theater company at the Montgomery County Cultural Center, will hold their Fall Festival on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM at Savior Hall, 410 Airy Street, Norristown, PA. The event will have live music, singers, a sneak peak at an upcoming world premiere play, food, drinks and more. Awards will be given out to Stan Huskey from the Times Herald and State Representative Mike Vereb for their support of the Montgomery County Cultural Center.
The Centre Theater is celebrating the beginning of our 17th year of theater and arts education in Downtown Norristown. Tickets support the theater and children's programs and help grow the arts in Norristown. Advanced purchase tickets at $35 for one, two for $60 or a table of 10 for $250. (Tickets will be available at the door for $35 each) With each ticket, there will be a chance to win a Season Pass for two to our theater shows, children's shows, festivals and special events (Valued at over $500.00).
The live performances include singers KrisSy Johnson and Dorien Belle. The Cast of Maroons - The Anthracite Gridiron will perform a short sneak peak of the play that opens the following week at the Centre Theater. Dave Morrison will perform on the guitar and singers Marissa Garcia-Kaliner and Jordyn Avery will also perform. Accompanist Nancy Chronister will play throughout the evening.
There will be an amazing array of items for Silent Auction. Plans for our current renovations and new marquee sign will be on display. Information on the expansion of the theater will be available. Come see how the arts will grow in Norristown.
