Broward to Host Cultural Tourism Program Grant Application Workshop

Broward Cultural Division announces a Cultural Tourism Program (CTP) Grant Application Workshop, for the fiscal year 2018 funding cycle, takes place on Thursday, November 10th, 2pm, at the Broward County Main Library, 6th Floor, Bienes Ceremonial Room. The purpose of this grant program is to create arts and cultural projects that promote tourism in Broward County. RSVP online.

Municipalities, agencies or political subdivisions of state government and sovereign Native American nations located in Broward County may apply. Broward-based, designated regional, not-for-profit, cultural organizations that meet eligibility requirements for funding from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, may also apply. Recent recipients have included: Broward County Film Society, City of Fort Lauderdale, Riverwalk A&E District Consortium, Stonewall Library & Archives, Inc. and Slow Burn Theatre Company, Inc.

Applicants must provide a one-to-one cash match. All activities funded under this program must be of high artistic quality and must contribute to Broward County's role as an attractive tourist destination. The program may fund exhibitions, performances and other cultural activities, including projects and festivals which contain the development of new activities and marketing to attract tourists. The workshop will also cover submission of online applications.
