The Broward Cultural Division announces a Cultural Tourism Grant Program (CTP) Application Workshop for the Fiscal Year 2015 funding cycle on Wednesday, November 6 at 2 p.m., at the Broward County Main Library, Bienes Conference Room, 6th floor. The purpose of this grant program is to create arts and cultural projects that promote tourism in Broward County.
Municipalities, agencies or political subdivisions of state government and sovereign Native American nations located in Broward County may apply. Broward-based, not-for-profit, cultural organizations that meet eligibility requirements for funding from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, may also apply. Recent recipients have included: Broward County Film Society, City of Fort Lauderdale, Riverwalk a&e District Consortium, and Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.
Applicants must provide a one-to-one cash match. All activities funded under this program must be of high artistic quality and must contribute to Broward County's role as an attractive tourist destination. The program may fund exhibitions, performances and other cultural activities, including projects and festivals which contain the development of new activities and marketing to attract tourists.
