Award-Winning Cast Headlines Mosaic Theatre's
Production of "Ages of the Moon"

"A poignant and honest continuation of themes that have always been present in the work
of one of this country's most important dramatists, here reconsidered in the light and
shadow of time passed." - NY Times

Award-winning Mosaic Theatre continues its tradition of staging thought-provoking dramatic work with the Southeast U.S. Premiere of "Ages of the Moon" by Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard. This production marks the fifth and final show of Mosaic Theatre's celebrated Tenth Anniversary Season and features multiple Carbonell Award winners Dennis Creaghan and Gordon McConnell.

A gruffly poignant and darkly funny play, "Ages of the Moon" tells the story of Byron and Ames, old friends reunited by mutual desperation. Over bourbon on ice, they sit, reflect and bicker until fifty years of love, friendship and rivalry are put to the test at the barrel of a gun.

Directed by Carbonell Award winner Richard Jay Simon, this production marks the return of two veteran actors to Mosaic's stage: Dennis Creaghan, last seen in "The Seafarer," for which he won the Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actor; and Gordon McConnell, featured in last season's production of "Rock ‘N' Roll," for which he was honored as New Times Best Actor of 2010.

The creative team is led by Set Designer Douglas Grinn, Lighting Designer John Hall, Sound Designer Matt Corey (2011 Carbonell Award Winner), Resident Costume Designer K. Blair Brown, Production Stage Manager Linda Harris and graphics/photography by George Schiavone.

Ages of the Moon runs June 2 - 26, Thursdays through Saturdays @ 8:00 with a Saturday matinee at 3:00 and a Sunday matinee at 2:00. Preview night performance on Thursday, June 2 begins at 9:00 pm. All performances are at Mosaic Theatre located in the American Heritage Center for the Arts at 12200 West Broward Boulevard in Plantation. Ticket prices are $37 for adults, $31 for seniors, $15 for students. Tickets may be purchased by calling (954) 577-8243 or visiting www.mosaictheatre.com.
