MAESTRO: The Art of Leonard Bernstein

Asolo Rep's Mertz Theatre
opening night Wednesday, June 8 at 8 pm

One of the giants of 20th Century music, Leonard Bernstein broke through every artistic ceiling possible. Conductor, composer, pianist, author, teacher, librettist, television star ... for Leonard Bernstein, boundaries simply did not exist. The Chicago Sun-Times dubbed Maestro "Emotionally charged and glorious. Felder conjoins the worlds of high art and popular entertainment in a way that few others can even think of."

The Marilyn Monroe Story in her own Words and Music

Marilyn: Forever Blonde

Asolo Rep's Mertz Theatre
opening night Saturday, June 18 at 8 pm

This one-woman play with music celebrates the glamour that was Marilyn: her rise to stardom, her views on sex, fame and the men in her life. Starring award-winning actress Sunny Thompson, the story is beautifully told using Marilyn's own words and songs performed during her movie career. The Boston Globe called Marilyn: Forever Blonde "Breathtaking and the LA Journal said, "I quite forgot to breathe." (mature themes).

Single tickets $17 to $65, depending on day, time, and seat location. Call the box office at 800-361-8388. Ask us about their 3 Play Package through the Subscription Call Center at 941-351-9010 ext. 4812.
