Education and Community Development Grant Program Application Workshop on September 17, 2008

looking to develop arts education programs
Broward Cultural Division will offer a grant writing workshop to aid applicants for the Education and Community Development (ECD) Grant Program, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at 4:00 pm in the Main Library, Bienes Ceremonial Room, 100 S. Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. The workshop is highly recommended to artists and organizations looking to develop community-based arts education programs.
The grant program supports implementation of arts education collaborations that promotes skills, knowledge, and an appreciation of the arts. Projects occurring in low-income communities are encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants include Broward County public entities - municipalities, Native American Nations, Broward County not-for-profit cultural organizations, and qualified individual artists from Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, or Monroe counties. The application deadline is December 1, 2008 for projects running from October 1, 2009 - September 30, 2010 (Fiscal Year 2010.)
