Artadia and the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) are pleased to announce Stephanié Saadé as the recipient of the 2018 Miami NADA Artadia Award, a $5,000 unrestricted, merit-based Award granted to one artist exhibiting at the fair. Saade's work is exhibited at Counter Space Zürich, booth 2.05 at NADA Miami. A jury comprising two curators, Allison Glenn, Associate Curator, Contemporary Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, AR, and Cynthia Post Hunt, Programmer, theater/dance, The Momentary, Bentonville, AR, selected Saadé. This is the twelfth time NADA and Artadia have partnered to present the Award.

"We were impressed by Stéphanie Saadé's engagement with landscape and consideration of the impact of memory and materiality on the body." Noted Glenn and Hunt.

The NADA Artadia Award acknowledges innovative voices working in contemporary art today. This unique collaboration highlights the ways in which nonprofit organizations and art fairs can come together to celebrate artistic excellence. Through its partnership with NADA, Artadia is able to extend the reach of its Awards program internationally. The curator-driven selection process, integral to all Artadia Awards, provides exhibiting artists exposure to influential professionals in the field.

Saadé will have access to the lifetime benefits of the Artadia Awards program, including participation in Art & Dialogue, exhibition opportunities, studio visits with curators and collectors, and a profile page on the Artadia Artist Registry.

Ste?phanie Saade? was born on January 11, 1983 in Lebanon. She lives and works between Beirut, Paris and Amsterdam. Saade? graduated in Fine Arts from the E?cole Nationale Supe?rieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France and attended a post-graduate program at the China Academy of Arts, Hangzhou, China. She has had institutional solo exhibitions at Parc Saint Le?ger (FRA) and Maison Salvan (France); Her work was also part of Sharjah Biennial 13 as well as numerous group exhibitions in Hessel Museum, CCS Bard, New York, USA; Kunsthaus Pasquart, Biel, CHE; MUCEM, Marseille, FRA; Oslo Kunstforening, Oslo, NOR; Ystad Konstmuseum, Ystad, SWE; MuHKA, Antwerp, BEL; Beirut Art Center, Beirut, LBN.

In Saade?'s work, autobiographical elements are intertwined with the history of Lebanon and the broader context from which she comes from. For instance, In A Map of Good Memories the artist remembers twenty good memories related to her life in Lebanon, dating from her childhood to the 2015. For A Map of Good Memories, Saade? retraced the trajectories of going to see beloved people and beloved places on the map of Lebanon. The 20 routes were then assembled, resulting in an intimate and sentimental territory; a geographical self-portrait, to be experienced by the public.
