"Broadway Actors Series"
to Perform "Annie, Jr."
More than 30 children ages 8 to 15 who are enrolled in the second session of the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood's "Broadway Actors Series" summer camp will perform "Annie, Jr." on Friday, July 21, at 5 p.m. at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center.
Based on the popular comic strip, "Annie, Jr." is the Story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil plans; befriends President Franklin Roosevelt; and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. This classic story is told with memorable characters, lavish costumes, and an unforgettable score. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children 13 and under.
