American Stage Theatre Company continues its first full season in the Raymond James Theatre with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet's new comedy, NOVEMBER, running June 9 thru July 4. "Pay What You Can" night is Tuesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m.
The must-see Tampa Bay premiere! This recent Broadway hit by playwright and political satirist
David Mamet proves once and for all that there is no lower place than the highest office in the land. Upon learning that he lacks the funds to either campaign for re-election or to construct a legacy-ensuring library, the incumbent President taps an unlikely income source: the turkey industry. Thanksgiving, Native American casinos and the prospect of officiating a live, televised lesbian wedding all demand attention in this riotous, oval office romp. Very strong language.
NOVEMBER stars
Michael Edwards (TUESDAY'S WITH MORRIE),
Wayne LeGette (BLITHE SPIRIT), Chris Rutherford (HAMLET), Giles Davies and Sarah Gavitt.
"We haven't had Mamet on our season in far too long a time," said Todd Olson, American Stage's producing artistic director. "NOVEMBER is that perfect comedy to reintroduce Tampa Bay audiences to this modern master of story telling."
