Actors Playhouse Conservatory Announces Fall Season For All Ages 9/21-11/16

Actors' Playhouse Theatre Conservatory is now accepting enrollment for the Fall Session. Actors' Playhouse Conservatory sessions offers performers of all ages an opportunity to gain and hone skills that are valuable both on and off the stage. The Conservatory is designed to develop self-esteem, self-confidence and communication skills.

 

The classes will take place from September 21 - November 16, 2009 at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, Florida 33134.

Class Information:

Let's Make Believe I is a series of acting classes specifically designed for the younger actor and encourages concentration and begins to help them focus their boundless energies. Ages 5-8.

Just Act is an introduction to performance. Communication skills and self-expression are enhanced through vocal and physical exercise, theatre games, and the development and presentation of personal monologues. Ages 8-12 or 12-16.

Lights, Camera, Action I is an on-camera class that will begin to develop the skills necessary to attend commercial and film auditions. Actors will develop a professional resume, learn to read copy from cue cards and from memory, and meet an actual agent. Ages 12-16.

Song and Dance is designed to acquaint the beginning student with basic singing and movement skills and dance techniques and the other half on vocal skills. Ages 5-8.

Musical Theatre I emphasizes singing and performance from Broadway repertoire as well as developing appropriate warm-up and vocal technique. Ages 7-12.

Adult Acting is a beginning level class that will introduce you to the basics of acting and character development using improvisation, monologues and scenes. Ages 17 and older.
